MyVirtualmd is the heart of our founders.
Our foundation derives from their personal experiences, which in turn created a strong connection. Our founding physicians endured both personally and through their closest family members. This ignited the fire to ensure that the right care is given every time, which not only represents our purpose, more so our passion.

Dr. Patel was raised outside of Atlanta GA from the age of six until he left for medical school in 1987. His parents were entrepreneurs in the hotel/motel industry.
His fathers philosophy was simple, “it’s not about the money, it’s about the people. “

Dr. Patel spent the first era of his career in Emergency Medicine where he quickly rose to one of the highest leadership positions within one of the largest emergency Medicine groups in the US.

In 2008 sitting at a coffee shop, he began to write on a napkin the frustrations patients experience when coming into the emergency department. From there he took it to the next step, frustrations for patients trying to navigate through the healthcare system.

Today his focus is to bridge the gap between access to the right care historically dependent on geographical location.
